Confidence starts with knowing who you’re comparing.
Selling your home is a significant decision. You deserve to understand who is making an offer, how they operate, and what to expect before you move forward.
Cash-Match helps you compare cash-buying companies through business checks, research, and clear information about their services. This page explains our standards for marketplace participation, what our Verified badge means, and how we approach our recommendations.
What we look for
- An identifiable business with accountable people.
- A clearly explained purchasing process.
- Evidence supporting its experience and capabilities.
- Transparent offer terms and professional treatment of sellers.
How companies qualify for our marketplace
Joining Cash-Match requires a review. Submitting an application or entering a commercial relationship does not, by itself, qualify a company for verification.
Business identity and accountability
We review the company’s legal business name, registration information, contact details, and responsible representatives. We check that the information provided is consistent with relevant public records and business profiles. Companies must identify who is responsible for communicating with sellers and addressing concerns.
A clear explanation of how they buy
Companies must explain their role in the transaction: purchasing directly, working with funding partners, assigning purchase contracts, or connecting sellers with another buyer. These differences matter. Sellers should understand who makes the offer, who expects to purchase the property, and whether another party may become involved before closing.
Funding and purchasing capability
For direct buyers seeking verification, we review documentation supporting their stated ability to purchase homes. Depending on the business model, this may include dated proof of funds, a documented funding relationship, or supporting transaction records. Funding documentation reflects the evidence available when reviewed. It does not reserve funds for a particular property or guarantee that a future purchase will close.
Experience and service areas
We review the company’s operating history, stated purchasing experience, service locations, and property requirements. Where available, we seek supporting records or references for material claims. A company must clearly describe where it operates and the types of homes it considers. Advertising statewide coverage does not automatically establish experience in every local market.
Offer practices and seller conduct
We review representative information about the company’s offer process, fees, conditions, and closing arrangements. Participating companies must agree to provide accurate information, explain material terms, respect sellers’ decisions, and cooperate with inquiries about their marketplace activity. When essential information is missing, inconsistent, or cannot be adequately supported, verification remains pending or is declined.
What Cash-Match Verified means
The Cash-Match Verified badge means a company has completed our required verification checks for its stated business model and met our participation standards at the time of review.
The badge applies to the specific business identified on its profile. It does not automatically extend to affiliates, independently operated locations, or other companies involved in a transaction. Verification details identify the scope of the checks and when they were last completed.
The badge is a starting point for informed comparison.
It is not a government endorsement, a professional license, or a guarantee of the highest offer, a problem-free experience, or a completed sale. Your property’s eligibility and the terms of any offer still need to be confirmed directly with the buyer.
A company’s verification status may change if its information, operations, or conduct no longer meet our requirements.
What we consider when recommending buyers
Our recommendations consider the complete picture of a company’s services and suitability for sellers. No single review, credential, or advertised promise tells the whole story.
Customer reviews and seller experiences
We consider feedback relevant to selling a home, including the substance, recency, and consistency of reviews. We look for recurring themes around communication, offer changes, closing delays, and the overall experience. We also consider how companies respond to concerns. An isolated complaint and a repeated pattern of similar problems require different assessments. Company-selected testimonials can provide context, but they are not treated as independent verification. We describe feedback as verified only when there is a basis for confirming its connection to a seller or transaction.
Local services and availability
We consider whether a company actively serves the location covered by a comparison page, the properties it accepts, and its relevant local experience. A smaller local buyer may be a suitable option for a particular market. A larger service area alone does not make a company a better fit.
Reputation and track record
We review operating history, supporting evidence of purchasing activity, and relevant information about business conduct. We distinguish documented experience from company-reported claims. Years in business and transaction volume provide context, but do not establish reliability on their own.
Offer clarity, fees, and deductions
We look for clear explanations of the offer amount, seller-paid costs, repair adjustments, and other deductions that could affect what a seller receives. We also consider whether the company explains how an initial estimate differs from a written offer and what information could lead to a change.
Contract terms and guarantees
We consider how clearly companies explain contingencies, cancellation provisions, offer deadlines, assignment rights, and conditions that could change the price or timeline. If a company advertises a guarantee, we look at its written scope, conditions, and exclusions. We do not treat a marketing headline as an unconditional commitment.
Closing process and reliability
We consider realistic closing expectations, funding arrangements, and available evidence of completed purchases. An advertised minimum closing time is different from a typical closing time. Property access, title issues, documentation, and agreed conditions can affect the schedule.
Property and timing flexibility
We consider the property conditions and seller situations a company can accommodate, including repairs, occupancy, and move-out arrangements. We explain relevant restrictions so sellers can assess whether an option fits their circumstances.
Communication and professionalism
We look for understandable explanations, consistent information, responsible points of contact, and respectful follow-through. Sellers should have time to review an offer and ask questions without misleading pressure.
Credentials and accountability
We check relevant credentials and affiliations where they are part of a company’s claims. We distinguish professional qualifications, memberships, third-party accreditation, and Cash-Match verification. A credential supports only what it actually establishes. It does not replace an assessment of the company’s terms, conduct, or suitability.
Where our information comes from
Our research may draw on:
- Public business records and relevant official sources.
- Company websites and published service information.
- Documents and written responses supplied by companies.
- Independent review platforms and seller feedback.
- Direct communication with company representatives.
- Transaction evidence and marketplace activity, where available.
We seek corroboration for material claims and distinguish company-reported information from information we have independently checked.
Evidence is not equally available for every company. When important information cannot be established, we identify the limitation rather than present an assumption as a fact.
How local recommendations are selected
Local comparison pages focus on the companies we have evaluated that serve the relevant area. They are not a complete inventory of every buyer operating there.
Featured recommendations highlight particular strengths, such as local experience, flexibility, or the seller experience. The reason for a recommendation should be clear from the accompanying explanation.
The right choice can differ by property, location, timeline, and offer terms. A featured position does not mean a company will make the highest offer on your home.
Commercial relationships and editorial standards
Cash-Match operates a marketplace and may receive compensation through relationships with participating companies. Applicable commercial arrangements are explained in our advertising disclosure.
Payment does not replace verification requirements or purchase a favorable editorial assessment. Sponsored placements, when offered, are clearly labeled and distinguished from editorial recommendations.
Our comparisons consider the companies within the stated scope of our research. Where participation or commercial relationships limit the options presented, we disclose that scope.
Maintaining marketplace standards
Verification is not a permanent entitlement.
We request updated information when material details change and reassess participation when concerns arise. Companies are expected to keep their business details, purchasing model, coverage, and service information accurate.
Depending on the issue, we may request additional evidence, correct a profile, pause referrals, suspend a badge, or remove a company from the marketplace.
Concerns that may trigger a review include misleading business information, unsupported funding claims, undisclosed material terms, misuse of the Verified badge, or repeated reports of conduct inconsistent with our standards.
Reporting a concern or requesting a correction
If information appears inaccurate, or your experience raises a concern, contact Cash-Match through our support channel.
Include the company’s name, the relevant dates, a brief explanation, and any supporting communications or documents you are comfortable sharing. Please avoid sending sensitive financial information unless it is requested through an appropriate channel.
We assess the information provided and may seek clarification from the company involved. A report does not automatically establish wrongdoing, but credible concerns can prompt a review of the company’s information or marketplace status.
Cash-Match can review participation and correct information on our platform. We cannot guarantee a particular dispute outcome or require a buyer to complete a purchase.
Your decision stays yours
Our role is to make your options easier to understand. Before accepting an offer, confirm the buyer’s identity, review the written terms, understand the deductions and conditions, and ask about anything that is unclear.
You can compare options and decide whether any of them fits your needs. Requesting an offer through Cash-Match does not require you to accept it.
Clear information. Accountable buyers. More confidence in your next step.
